About Bavarian Aid Society
We are a private club with an amazing opportunity to allow the public access to now rent our party room, Heritage room, or our stunning ballroom and maybe learn some of our heritage while they are here; they can also come in and enjoy the infamous cuisine by Tim's American Cafe. We believe it is crucial for preserving German-Balvarian heritage through fostering fellowship, community solidarity, charitable activities, maintaining a dedicated hall for cultural preservation, and hosting traditional events.

Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Altoona is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Altoona follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

So I was here on a chance trip today after only being here once before almost 20 years ago. Back then I remembered watching a Marshall University football game there when Byron Leftwich was QB. But I also remembered, from that years ago experience, that the wings were great. So today I decided to order some wings to go as my visit, earlier in the day, was work related. Everything was as good as I remembered it and the place is really well put together as a club/society overall. And I bought some German beer, elsewhere , to wash the wings down with. It is a members only club, but If you are in the position to place a food order you shouldnβt hesitate to do so.

The Bavarian is a wonderful club in Altoona, PA. You get to come in the day-before to decorate and get everything set up. If you're looking to rent the upstairs I highly suggest some white curtains for the backdrop, char coverings and uplights to pull the place together. Their dance floor is HUGE and as a DJ of course we love that feature! They provide food + bar service, chairs and tables. You provide the rest!
